AKOTA Student Rep 2025

Cassy Demler
2025 Student representative

I am from Menominee, Michigan but have been living in Anchorage, Alaska for 5 years. Alaska is going to be my home for a long time, if not forever! I am continually intrigued by how unique Alaska is. I am motivated to learn more about occupational therapy in Alaska from professionals in the field currently and to be a part of connecting my fellow and incoming students to local resources and opportunities.

I am currently an assistant preschool teacher and cat lady. I have 3 cats: Lady May, Stellaluna, and Pachirisu who are my everything! My favorite Alaskan activity in summer is concert camping in my Volkswagen bus and my favorite in winter is cross country skiing and watching hockey.. but I love everything in fall most of all!

Term end date: March 2026
