Our Legislative and Licensing Committee keeps AKOTA members informed of local and national legislation and licensing changes that affect occupational therapy practice. AKOTA hires a lobbyist during the legislative session to act on behalf of our members at the state level. Collaboration between our members and lawmakers helps prioritize AKOTA’s advocacy efforts and ensures the availability of occupational therapy services to Alaskans.
